This past year of studying for the Florida Bar Exam, I had a lot of time to reflect on my story. God has continued to use my story to show the impossible.

My whole academic life I have had to face failure head on. God led me to pursue a field where my weaknesses would shine. From the little girl who could barely read in elementary school to becoming a licensed attorney.

I have never worked harder for something. I am incredibly thankful for my journey to Esquire. I wouldn’t change one thing about it because I know God is using my story.

To the person who is told their dreams are too big, you can’t accomplish that, or you don’t have what it takes:
• Just know that there is a light in you. You are made exactly who you are suppose to be. Don’t press into what you lack, press into what God has given you.
• Be humble during the wins because if you let your accomplishments define you, your failures will also.
• It’s failure that gives you the proper perspective on success.
• Embrace the journey as much as the goal or the result.
• Build your value on who you are, not what you do.
• Failure shouldn’t define you because that is what your Heavenly Father does.
• Never give up! You only fail when you stop trying.
